Dudleytown,CT. The most haunted place in the northeast/US?
« on: September 15, 2003, 03:02:43 AM »
My thoughts first when exploring a haunted place bring a DOG and watch it too.  I also brought a camera/sound recorder and a cam corder on one trip(my last).
TRIP #1
This woods looks just like any other woods if your not paying attention nothing happens.   We entered on the western side first walking down the trail a tree is across and carved in the tree is "666".   As we approached the old stone foundations I took pictures and ran the sound recorder.  The dog was just walking around looking too.(normal)  As we went to leave while walking past a little hill off to our left behind us something called the dog it froze stopped and looked and stared for quite some time then started walking with us again about 50yds away it called the dog again and it repeated it, the dog just freezes and stares at the top of the little hill. So we finally got back to the car.  I rewound the recorder and all you hear is a bow string  a "twang" noise nothing else just once.  We had nothing to make that kind of noise with us.

Now we go to the north side which we went there the night before to see where this place was.  There was an overhead sign which was gone in the morning.  So we enter taking pictures again and walking down a long trail. My camera we off by itself and kept firing away 3 to 4 frames at a time.    Its just your normal average looking woods.  We finally left.

We got the pictures developed and there was globuals all over the film those little white spots they call spirits.  By the camera firing off by itself it caught the globuals appearing in the next frame that weren't there the frame before.

TRIP#2

With snow on the ground we entered the last spot we were at in trip #1.  Again the camera goes off by itself the same way. Down the road we deceided to take a right trail after back tracking on the first trail so you can see in the snow where we turned around.  As we went down in deeper  I'm seeing large hoof prints but no deer droppings.  I made a left turn for a while then a left turn again trying to find the road we entered on(I made a large square loop)  I never found the tracks we left before we turned back to go right in the snow.  Then i found something weird in someone elses tracks were weird hoof prints dead center in the shoe tracks to hide them.  There were stories of two legged hoofed creatures haunting this place(devil).  There not deer tracks they were different. Now we deceided to leave as we walked out we passed a large tree the dog stopped and looked up and ran around this tree.  We passed it on the way in and nothing happened but on the way out things got hot, we walked 25yds away from the tree something called the dog and it ran full speed back and did the same thing again it ran around it looking up.  Then we were 50yds away and it did the same thing.  I took pictures the whole time but nothing showed up.

TRIP#3
This was a quiet trip the son, his girlfriend, my dog and me went we walked the whole place.  But we did lose the dog it ran off and was gone the whole time until we went to leave it finally came back foaming at the mouth it was running so hard.  Nothing happened!!!!

Trip#4
We went with my neighbor and his VHS camcorder he had problems with the right away camera turning on?  We walked around and it seemed quiet just lkike trip #3 but when we got home the camcorder was another story the globuals it picked up were moving!!!! And there was vertical waves in the air it was very strange.

I don't think my neighbor believed in haunted places but he never wanted to go back there again!!!!

The WARRENS(ghost hunters) went there and said stay away its a very evil place!!!!!!!   All I can say its no joke, its real, i've been there!!!!
                                                                            BigBill

They say bring nothing home from these places because you may bring something home with you!!!  On our first trip I forgot to mention there was three young kids (17) walking around like us.  One of them a girl had a pretty rock she was taking home I should of gotten her phone number just too see what happened.  They say you can take home spirits in material things if you take them.  And how the camera went off by itself and the camcorder would turn on?? It never happened anywhere else but there.  A local radio station went up there and caused such a ruckus they closed the place to visitors!!!!!!  And they said nothings there boy are they wrong/stupid!!!!!

Do a search for haunted places in america or dudleytown it will come up read it!!!!!!!  I also read somewhere about a professional film crew went there to do a story and had all kinds of equipment problems finally something appeared out of a foundation near them and that was it the left. And when they got home nothing was on the film that they already shot.  What ever it is it seems to like messing with cameras.

I searched Dudleytown and there's a lot of sites on it and the history. Real interesting place. Thanks.
On the 19th of April, 1775, a tyrannical government sent an army to disarm its citizens. They ran into a touch of trouble.

What got me interested in it my son came home and talked about it so i looked it up on the net and we went there to check it out.  Funny that one day nothing happened and the others it was crazy.  But having the dog with you is the key it can hear what we can't.  I wasn't afraid going there and I'm still not afraid to go there if it was still open. I would love to see what made those weird hoof prints in the boot tracks.  I think I have pics of them.  Did you find the "cosmic society"   they did research there and their pics look the same as mine there on the net with the globeuls (those white spots (ghosts/spirits)  I don't doubt the super natural now.       BigBill

More on having a dog I was driving down my old logging access road to my camp in Vermont and had the windows down on my suburban the dog was in the middle seat looking up on the ridge growling as I drove in. That same summer we seen a Catamount(mountainlion) near my camp. I think that day she smelled the scent of it up on the ridge above us as we drove in.

Found the Cosmic Society pages. Strange. If I still lived in the East, I'd be sore tempted to take a trip there. With dogs.

Don't go there

Fellas:  I don't care what anyone says about the history or curiousity of the place - if you see cloven hoofprints in the snow or in boot tracks, and only two of them not four, then you are in an area where something truely evil walks about.  Even if I had my dogs with me I doubt I would go there - just don't like chancing running into the wrong type of spirit.  Mikey.

We should go Huntin'
« Reply #7 on: September 23, 2003, 06:03:52 AM »
BigBill:  we should go huntin' in Dudleytown ifin we can find the right kind of equipment to hunt there with.  If we are talking about evil spirits we should be able to find a way to send them straight back to .........!  I don't know if I would want to bring my dogs and get them all upset, cause Lord knows they would prolly try and drown me again, but we surely could do something.  Ya know, you would think that if something wants to materialize right before your eyes just to scare the schmidt outta ya, you could help'em de-materialize with a 45 hollowpoint filled with holywater and capped with wax.

As for 'lookin' for Bigfeets in Okie, most definately.  I don't see the need for shooting anything just to prove it exists, unless it is with a camera, but maybe if my sister is in the area we could get it to hang around for a while.  Whatcha think?  Mikey.
