SBH rear sight
« on: May 07, 2009, 04:04:10 PM »
A few months back I bought a stainless SBH with a B-Square scope mount and scope included (mounted).  I decided to play with open sights but discovered I'm missing the rear sight.  I called the seller and he can't find it anywhere.  He offered to reimburse my cost for replacment though.

What are my options for a source?  Should I just contact Ruger directly or is there a better option?

Thanks,
Curtis

Check with Brownells.  They may have a Millet replacement.
If I agreed with you then we would both be wrong.

You can simply order from Ruger. The complete sight assembly and pin are modestly priced.

You can get the factory sight from Ruger or from Brownells Ruger parts page but the best one I've seen comes from Hamilton Bowen, all steel, much finer adjustments than the Ruger and much better sight picture.

You can get the Bowen for a reasonable price, or you can get one from Ruger.  If I were choosing and having to pay, I would go with the Bowen.
