tumbling question

I'm new to reloading and have a problem I throw the brass in the tumbler and after a couple of hours they're nice and shiny but now all the walnut media is packed inside the cases. What a time consuming job tapping and blowing all that extra crumbs out. how can this be avoided. Thanks

Use a media separator like Dillons CM-500 .

dillions CM 500 can that be added right to the media and can I purchase some from Midway USA or similiar company

I tumble them before I size them.

Been using the same 30-06 die (which I use the most) for years - no problem on wearing it out.

Throw the packed case back into the tumbler with no media in it for a few minutes,it should brake loose.

Part of the problem may be the size of your media , I ran into that using the med grind with 223 cases , the peice's were too big for the case necks and gave me fits getting it out , switched to a fine grind and have not had an issue since .

I leave my tumbler running while pulling cases out. Just lay them against the inside edge of the tumbler and the vibrations will shake loose the packed stuff.
