Another Dom Parrott
« on: May 08, 2009, 03:57:09 PM »
Here are some photos that showed up in my inbox today.  Dom is going to add a blade sight on the trunnion before it gets shipped to Maine.  Dom is great to work with.  He accommodated all of my questions and requests very graciously and the end product is superb.

Nice!  I've been looking at his stuff for a while trying to decide on my first cannon.  Is that made with the golf ball Parrott barrel?

Thanks for the comment Rob.  Yes it is golf ball bore.  Rocklock has a confederate version and this is the union one.  I have seen Gary's in person and it is very nice.  Dom does an excellent job, very detailed.  I got a GB dictator from him a year ago and that convinced me that when I got enough money ahead I was going to have him make me this Parrott. I haven't got it yet but hopefully will have it in a week or so.

Tuesdays have always been my favorite weekday , and Tim you are due !

You might want to call in sick in the morning ( you probably are pale right now).....they'll want you to 'sign the paper'......to let you get your hands on the prize !!!!

can't do that from work besides .......the default delivery address has already been  established 'as 'somewhere in colo' but i don't remember exactly where . .....maybe broomfield .....?

I noticed there was no slap hammer on her .

Gary,
I can't call in sick because the shipping address is my work address.  I appreciate your thoughtfulness though.  As for the slap hammer, I wanted the barrel to have a "clean" look, and to be as close to original as possible.  I may wish I had one later but it gives me a good excuse to make some quills.  I have read in other posts that they are fun to make.  I will let you know when I have my next great day at the office.  I have the five balls and sabots that you gave me displayed on a cabinet in my office, so everyone is a bit curious as to what is coming next.
