New UX2 MIssion
« on: May 10, 2009, 03:15:26 PM »
Ok!!!!! I have done it. ;D
Bought a brand spanking new Mission UX2 twin cam
40-70 lbs
22"-30" draw
70% letoff
Has some new hi-fangled system from the factory that no other introductry bow has.
Now all i need are sights and arrow rest, quiver?????????
this will propel me into another domintion of bowdom, will be a world champion bowster in 4-5 months. ::) :o
I looked at lots of bows new and used on ebay. This is a bare 2009 model and i bought it less than half what some used bows that i could not feel and look at up close. I bit the bullet and tripped the trigger. I have heard nothing but good from Mission owners. I talk to the tech at the bow shop/range Thursday about the Mission(they sell them) he said Mission rep told him the UX2 and one other model was their best sellers  he said at this shop they sold lots of Eliminators
I will buy most or all my acc. from him (even if less else where) because he has helped me and i plan to have him set it up for me and i shoot there,
to me it is only fair.
do you folks have any ideas on sights and arrow rest for hunting/target shooting? i am leaning towards 3 pin sights,
Rex

I got one about a month ago. I put a 3-pin sight on it, by cobra. The guy at my proshop put a real good arrow rest on it to! ;) I had a peep sight put on it, one that is little and what's really nice the zebra-hybrid strings, are pre-stretched so when you draw it back the peep rotates where you can see through it. I had mine set at 64 lbs. but that was a little more than I could shoot accurately, so I had Bob turn it down to 58 lbs. It's a real fast shooter and acurate as can be. Taking it to a 3-D shoot this weekend. ;D

I am pretty sure i want a 3 pin sight, i see them from $29.95 to $100+
i would like bright optics, which is the better brand or most popular.
I am thinking i will start it about 50lbs and work up to ?

I just love my Mission. I bought it to check if I like bow shooting (hunting). I though
I will buy a more expensive bow later, well I can't find an excuse to replace the X3.

I hunted a kudu last weekend and doing a 3D comp. this weekend and I
know the bow will shoot beter than what I can shoot!!
