VENISON BARBEQUE STIR FRY
« on: December 18, 2002, 02:25:53 PM »
Here is one I came up with and really like if I am in a hurry... it's great!

VENISON “BARBEQUE” STIR FRY
2 venison steaks
½ cup barbeque sauce
2 cups mixed stir fry vegetables
1 small can cut mushrooms in liquid
1 ½ cup instant rice
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
Cut two venison steaks into stir-fry size chunks and either marinate in the barbeque sauce for a few hours ahead of time, or simply coat the meat for immediate use. Heat your wok to cooking temperature, and add about ½ tablespoon of vegetable oil. Quickly, brown the venison, then turn down the heat slightly and add the small can of cut mushrooms including the liquid. Immediately add the two cups of mixed stir-fry vegetables. If your wok has a dome lid, put the lid in place and allow to steam for about 5 minutes. Serve over cooked rice. This is a great recipe for a fast paced lifestyle, with a delightful flavor being added by the barbeque sauce…

IronKnees,

Thank you for sharing your recipe. I noticed that you have alot more on your web site so I will be visiting alot for other recipes to cook. GB doesn't like venison so I can only cook it for me and Phil when he is gone on a trip.
