It seems to me more people die in any given state on any weekend in traffic accidents and nobody gets upset.  I don't know what the international panic is all about. 
We have other, more major, health issues to deal with.  JMHO.

Traffic accidents are not contagious.

Who we know has the flu is who caught it several days ago. We have no way of knowing who has it today, nor do we have any way of knowing, today, if it's mutated into a killer.

And all diseases start with just one person. Even the diseases that wiped out thousands back in the dark ages.
