Best $400 spotting scope
« on: September 16, 2003, 07:51:54 AM »
I 've had my share of $120 ( or less) spotting scopes. they all work fine at 50' to 50/75 yds but ALL have left me squinting and tweeking to get a view of .22 cal holes @ 100 yds. I'd realy like something that can give me  decient shot spotting ability  @ 200-300 yds. Has anybody found a mid priced  45 degt angled spotting scope that is reasonably  bright and sharp enough for the task? Seems like everything I've looked @ in teh $200-$300 range isn't up to the task. Any help appriciated.

Tacoma,

There is one that is a great spotting scope that is in the $400.00 range and has an angled body.  It is the Nikon Sky & Earth 20-60x80 Angled.  This should bring in those .22 holes at 100yard with no problem.  It features Multi-Coated Lenses, Built in sliding sunshade and available interchangeable eyepieces.
