What height rings on heavy Encore barrel for 50mm scope???

I have a .25-06 heavy encore barrel and just purchased a Vortex Crossfire 6x24x50AO scope for it and was wondering what height rings to use?  It has a leupold one piece dual dovetail base on it.  I have never owned a 50mm scope and was wondering if anyone out there has the heavy barrel and 50mm scope so they can tell me what height rings they used, I know it's probably going to be high or super high, I want to mount the sope as close to the barrel as possible, so let me know what yall would use.  Thanks Kris

I have a custom heavy rifle barrel in 264Win Mag and had a 6-24X50 Burris BlackDiamond scope on it for a while.  The scope was mounted with Weaver base and super-high rings.  Though I could have possibly gotten by with high rings, can't remember for sure, the little bit of extra height gave me some room to operate the hammer.  I don't recall how much clearance there was between the objective bell and the barrel, but I don't think much.  Scope ring height varies from one manufacturer to another and one brand "high" ring may be the same as another brands "super high".

I use medium height rings with 3x9x40 scopes on my encore barrels so I'd guess you'd need a higher set
