Peep sights on Puma/Rossi same as Marlin?

I'll be purchasing a lever action Puma .357 Mag., in the near future and would like to install a peep sight on this rifle. However, in my search for peep sights (MidSouth Shooter Supply, MidWay, Brownell's, etc.) I'm not finding this rifle company named for a matching sight. All I'm finding is Marlin, Winchester, Browning, etc.

Is there a peep sight that fits a Marlin, Winchester, etc. that will fit a Puma/Rossi lever action rifle?

Your opinions and experiences are appreciated.

I also have a Puma .357 and have been thinking about the peep sights.   Here's what I've found so far.

Winchester 1892 Lever Action Rifles

If and when you'd like to add a 'PeeP Sight' to your rifle, it is not so hard to find one that'll fit.

One (same) height tang sight fits Winchester M-55's, M-64's, M-94's and all Model 92's (& M-53/65's, which have the same receiver as M-92's)

Also ;  Marbles sells one that specifically states " 1892 Winchester Models"......peep sights.......

Marbles 65 for the 1892 Puma rifles.

XS Sights makes a ghost ring site set for the Model 94 that will fit the Puma 92 and they maybe labeling it for the 92 as well now...

Gents  -  Any side mount receiver sight that will fit a standard Winchester top-eject Model 94 rifle/carbine ( + Models 55 & 64, but not bulged receiver BB94's) will fit any Winchester Model 92 or it's clones, like Puma/LSI/Rossi/Whatever.

If the receiving gun's receiver side doesn't have them, two holes will need to be D/T'd to attach the sight.

What will also fit Model 92's are receiver peep sights intended for the Winchester 94AE (Angle Eject) - the rifle with the rear two scope mount holes atop the rear end of the receiver side rails.
The Model 92 will need to have the top of it's side walls D/T'd for the sight.
I am in the process of installing one of the 94AE peep sights on the top rails of my new BrazTech Rossi .357 Model 92.

Likewise, any tang peep sight, meant for a Winchester 94/etc, will ergo also fit the Model 92s - which may/may not have the second/forward tang sight base attachment hole D/T'd in the tang ahead of the issue tang screw (which is replaced with a longer tang screw to secure the rear of the tang sight base).

A third, outside-the-box alternative, peep sight would be to attach a peep sight to the top of the bolt - which can be done in a couple/three different ways
An inletted bolt peep may be installed (Montana Vintage Arms) - very $$$
A WGRS for a BAR has the same base contour as the top of the Winchester bolt, and can be attached via D/T'ing the bolt top.
A peep staff from XS can be purchased, and the bolt top safety D/T down it's center for the XS part or the similar Skinner Lo-Pro.

I fitted some dovetail mounted http://skinnersights.com/ and am very happy with them . The Skinner peeps are limited in their adjustability and are a set and forget use one load type sight . The shorter sighting radius being mounted in the dovetail the standard buckhorns are knocked out of does not affect accuracy that I can ascertain

Have a look at this link  http://www.marlinowners.com/forums/index.php/topic,39547.0.html it shows the compact dovetail I purchased , works great but you may prefer his standard sight if they appeal . He also offers a flip up ladder sight not sure if he sells it in dovetail mount that has an apperture when in the down position , am tempted to get a set for my Rossi .357 as the price is so competitive .

Dr Skinner has given me good service and I am impressed with his sight sets

Thank you, to all that have replied. I've enjoyed your suggestions.

However, I've decided to "up grade" my lever action rifle brand choice to a Henry Big Boy. No offence to those that love their Puma/Rossi rifles. I'm sure that they serve you well.

I have read, researched and talked with a lot of people about Henrys and they've nothing bad to say about Henry rifles' accuracy, customer service, reliability and quality of workmanship. I owned a Henry .22 Mag. and it was the most accurate .22 Mag. that I've ever owned...and I've owned serveral.

That is the way to go. I have a Model 66A on my Model 94 Winchester (1958 model), and one also on my Rossi Model 92.

While my H001 standard .22LR Henry is an excellent quality rifle, a great handling gun, and a keeper for me - I sold my BigBoy because it didn't live up to my expectations, for either handling or quality.

The new BrazTech Rossi .357 I bought last weekend is waaaay above the BigBoy I had, in fit, finish, quality and handling.
YMMV, of course.

Just my $0.02, but this latest Rossi is every bit as well done as a Winchester 92, unlike it's previous incarnations I've examined - excepting for it's plastic mag follower and lawyer bolt-top safety, both of which I've already altered/changed (easily).

Rossi's latest partner/owner in BrazTech, Taurus, may be dead last in the industry for good customer service, but I doubt that the new Model 92's will need any.

Factory warranty/service is generally a moot point for me, barring a gun that hand-grenade's itself - since I've always done my own small repairs & mods.
There are a plethora of Model 92 parts and accessories available nationwide if not worldwide, for an owner to do mods or repairs w/o the gun being out of commission for a long while - not so for the BigBoy.

I just put a Lyman 66A Peep Receiver sight on a Chiappa copy of a Winchester Model 92 I wonder whyLyman only lists them for the 94 as they worked fine. Just had to drill and tap 2 holes.

I put a Marbles tang on mine and am very happy with it. It is a little more money, but worth it. Some find them a problem for the thumb position, I do not and the longer sighting radius is a help. Check them out, excellant quality.
