How do i do it?

   How do i delete a printer. I am going to buy a new printer but was told i can't install it untill i delete the old one. I have tried everything but nothing works. Help me PLEASE.  Thanks for any help.    bobg

  Chilachuck, I am computer stupid. All i know is how to get on GBO. I wanted to install it on windows vista. A friend of mine told me he tried to install a new printer and was told he had to delete the old one to do it. I took his word for it. I will get the new one and give it a try. I've been trying to remember. Win95, win98, and XP all just take a new printer and ignore the old one. I don't know anything about VISTA, sorry.

If it has to be removed just go to My computer. Look for where it says add or remove programs. Click it and then find it on the menu. Dale

Click start then click on control panel then add and remove programs.open find your printer program and delete.
But you should be able to have several printer programs,but if its not working the program is just taking up memory ;)

             Thanks for all the info folks. The printer doesn't show up on my list of programs. I will pick up the new printer tomorrow and give it a try and see what happens.  Thanks again.    bobg
