Author Topic: Crow hunting legal in MT or in neighboring states? (Read 675 times)

I never hear of anyone in MT nor in any neighboring states that hunt crows. I have always wondered if it was legal here, as it is in many other states. I would imagine that they must not be concidered a pest in this state and therefore illegal to hunt, or other people would be doing it. I have already asked on another post and have not got any answers on this at all. Hope someone has some kind of info about crow hunting in this state for me. Probably a quick call to the Fish & Game would clear this question up. Anybody know about this state or it's surrounding states?

Huntrap,

I'm pretty sure the gigantic ravens we have are protected and I've seen comparitively few real crows over here on the west edge.

Can't say there hasn't been times when I really, really wanted to blast a particularly obnoxious one, though. :evil:

redial, I live a few miles from Saskatchewan and under 50 from ND, so I am way over on the flip side! Over here we don't have such thing as a raven, but we do get a good number of crows. Enough to where hunting them would be worth it. Maybe I will just call the F & G tomorrow and just see what they say. I really don't think you can shoot them though, but if I find out I will post it.

YA I know it is a stupid law but don't blame me the same applies to Washington State song birds.

we all don't have to think that hard on who helped pass that legislation.
