Few questions on the Encore .22LR, .17, .45/.410 barrels?
« on: May 21, 2009, 03:03:25 AM »
Do any changes need to be done on the Encore to shoot .22LR, .17, handgun barrels or just put of the frame and fire away.

On the .45/.410 ribbed barrels can you shoot 45LC with the choke tube in? Do you get better pattern with the choke tube in or out?

Thanks

The encore rimfore factory barrels just need to be put on the frame anf fire.  They have an offset bore to allow the factory firing pin to strike the rimfire cartridge.

Always take the choke out when shooting any slug including .410 slugs.  When shooting shot the pattern is much better with the choke in.  Without it the shot column spins on the way out of the barrel causing a donut shaped pattern with a hole in the middle.
