It was my plan to try the Fusion .223 load on a doe this year, but it didn't happen. I did use one on an angeling shot on a coyote. Hit him just behind the last rib on the right side, exited the left shoulder. Did a lot of damage on the way. I would say, judging by the wound, that the bullet mushroomed and held together like a bigger game bullet should. The same shot with a varmint bullet almost always stays inside. Was a little tough on the hide though... From what I seen, I would feel comfortable using this particular round on a broadside deer.
