The saga of my 608 ends here and guess what....
« on: May 22, 2009, 02:06:15 PM »
Picked it up today and behold. It is fixed but with another problem now. They replaced the cylinder latch and now there is a ton of side to side play in the cylinder. Shot it just a few minutes ago and shaves lead badly/not timing properly. This ends my dealings with Taurus forever!!!!!! Also, the moron idiot so called gunsmiths at Taurus buggered up the side plate screws and now there are pry marks on the mating surface of the plates. Never again a Taurus. Buy one at your own risk....Mine is going to be sent somewhere, dont know yet, to be properly repaired, and I am paying to have it done. BUY A TAURUS AT YOUR OWN RISK. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE AND LIARS. SEE MY OTHER TOPICS ON MY ADVENTURES WITH TAURUS THE LAST 6 MONTHS >>>Did buy a mint S-W 15-3 38 spl today and it is sweet!!!!!! ;) My gun dealer dumped Taurus!!!! :D

Sorry to hear that, but thanks for sharing. I own one but now will never buy another.

I took that step several years ago and have been warning you folks ever since. I am continually amazed how folks just keep on getting taken to the cleaners on them.

i have recently gone to rugers, will definently not ever own a taurus. i do own a eaa windicator, shoots good, called c.s. about parts they are real friendly. so far no trouble with it, it ain't no ruger or smith, but beats the britches off a taurus. of course thats not saying much considering how bad taurus is.

One good way to cut down on the problems is to get the dealers to stop carrying Taurus products.  To continue to do so only angers the buyers who don't read the internet, and it must be annoying to the gun dealers to have to hear all the complaining.

Bought a sweet pristine nickel Smith and Wesson model 15-3 38 special while talking to my gun dealer about how Taurus sucks and man is that pistol ever so smooth. I am looking to buy the new 327 Federal magnum in a Ruger as soon as he gets one in.... ;D
