H&R Revolver
« on: May 23, 2009, 01:10:52 PM »
Good day/evening ;D

Have a H&R, Model 903, with a trigger pull close to a ton, and a sight that I ain't figured out yet (not uncommon for me!). :-[
The sight has a very small (like tiny) screw on the side that has to be windage, and a much larger top screw with witness marks.  Can someone tell me their value of movement?
Have no idea who might be able to tame the trigger.  Anybody with a warm fuzzy about wheel-gun trigger work you've had done, would appreciate the input.
Hope your week-end is going (or went) well. ;D

God Bless

you may be able to find the drawing parts breakdown on Numeric gun parts and decide what might have to be honed or filed . Kurt

Model 903s, from my experience having owned several, have a nice smooth trigger pull.  I would suspect that yours may be clogged with hardened grease, many are - try spraying it out with carb cleaner or equivalent, then lightly relubing with a light gun oil.  As to the values of the sight adjustment screws - values will vary with distance shot and ammo used - you need to regulate it to your chosen type of ammo.  My best guess would be one click per 1/2 inch at 50 yards for elevation and the windage adjustment is undefined - you loosen one side, slide the sight blade and tighten the other.  This model, again from my experience, has some very good to excellent accuracy potential.  Good luck.
