RWS Primers ?

Anyone here using RWS Large Rifle primers ? If so, how are they doing, & how hot are they? I know where a bunch are.

Yes, I know they are German & I used there 22 Mag ammo years ago & have used their percussion caps. But I don't know how hot these are compared to our std. large rifle primers, etc. I was hoping someone had personal experience with these.

RWS produces boxer primer in LR,LRM like any of the four major American primer mfg's,the standard LR prime is the same as any of the American standard LR primers.  All LR primers even CCI,Fed,Win,Rem will all produce different pressures with the same load data although it may be small,just reduce your load by 10% with a know primer and load you have been using and work you load back up.

I think if we change any of the components you need to back off & then increase slowly, even powder lots can be different. I know that the WLR primer that I use alot is hotter than some of the others.
I am asking again for personal experience with this primer.

I went ahead and bought 6 boxes, 250 primers per box & 8 boxes of CCI primers. He sold them to me for $70.00 out the door, which amts. to $3.05 per 100, tax included. I think I will go over next week & buy the rest of them.

  Good buy I shot a few years, and years ago. I do remember Elmer said the RWS were hotter than other primers at least at that time. He was using them in a big bore (what else) double rifle. After trying one or two with is std. load he found he had to back off the powder.
