Has anyone put thought into or put to the test the ability of a golf ball when fired to bounce with great resiliance from a hard surface?

One could put it at an angle (the plate) so the golf ball goes to one side or UP.  We could have a whole variety of new cannon games - billiards, pup-up, etc.

We've had a few too.  Fortunately going UP and coming down gently.  (But I do know first hand how deep a fragment from a .303 British will penetrate after hitting steel.)
