I have seen at least one Confederate mountain rifle that had a rifled steel liner.  It was a few years ago.  I don't remember whose gun it was or who did the work.

The IMA hoard that came from Nepal had a lot of different configurations and I know I saw a steel-jacketed gun with a bronze liner that was rifled, and there may have been a bronze rifle with steel liner too, can't recall exactly.

Often I've wondered about the practice. Would not the two metals have different rates of expansion/contraction? Also, would bimetallic corrosion be a concern?
