Sometimes, we just don't understand God's plans for us and our loved ones.  I believe that when a child dies, that God just needed that child to be with Him before he needed us.  God has plans that we cannot understand, His plans go beyond anything that we can understand.  Rest assured that your child will enter into Grace with an unblemished record while the rest of us struggle to keep our names in the Book.

I pray that someday your son will reach out a hand to you and welcome you to be in his company in the presence of God.  I trust God to give you peace and testimony for your tribulation.

 Chris,
My heart goes out to you, your wife, and Sarah. There's no deeper sorrow that can happen to a family, no larger hurt that can beset a parent. I saw this yesterday and cannot keep my focus upon it. May God hold you close in your time of sadness. Every person's, every family's grief is unique, I just want all of you to know that you're not alone. Some of us have suffered something similar but, it's never the same thing.

Take your time and heal the best you can, now, tomorrow can come much later, in it's own time. Put your arm around Sarah for me, that our Lord Jesus Christ may see her.
I'm sorry, my tears take me.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I can't imagine losing one of my sons. Remember that the day is rapidly coming when we will NEVER have to go through this ever again (Hebrews 2:14 Revelation 21:4)and, we will welcome back dead loved ones(Acts 23:15). God is true and his word is true.

Chris

From one father who has lost a son to another , I KNOW your pain , my son Brandon died at the age of 3 , that was 20 years ago and I still feel the pain as if it was yesterday .

You WILL get through this , time and the love of family & friends will lessen the pain , yet it will never totally go away .

Just take one day at a time .

Just as Richard has said before me, the pain will always be like yesterday. The family will keep it all glued together. I lost my younger brother in a home invasion 27 years ago. I am so sorry for your loss. This is a life changing event for you and I pray that God will guide you and help you understand why it has come to be. My thoughts are now focussed on you so you may get through the agony of such a lost.

To all my friends,

First I want to say thank you all again for your support and kind words of encouragement. I am one who has sent these same words on to others in the past, and always wondered if they were able to take any comfort from them. Now I know. They did.

A very large THANK YOU and God’s blessings to you all.

This will probably be my last multiple forum response, to which I beg your indulgence once again. It’s easier on my heart to only have to type this once. Soon I hope to return to individual responses to single out and thank so many of you personally.

As promised, I will now pass on the poem that my daughter Sarah composed after Jack’s passing. She’s 12 years old, and wrote this poem without any assistance or editing from anyone. It just took our breath away when Susan and I read this the first time. It still does.

Brother

My brother died on this day
Somehow we will find a way
To find the happy days once more
To stop our eyes becoming sore
For the loss we all must bear
For the tears we all will share
He is the one we cry for
And his soul, it will soar
Through the sky it will go
To a wonderful place you know
In Heaven he will stay
In Heaven he will play
We were with him from the start
So he will always be in our hearts

By Sarah Hazelett

The last line of the poem is engraved on Jack’s urn. It’s sitting next to me as I type this.

I had mistakenly named the resort they were at as the Princess Resort. My apologies for that, I had confused the name of the street with the name of the resort itself. They had been at the Xona resort. I hope this hasn’t caused any undue issues for the Princess Resort. I wasn’t there, I worked that day, and while the plan was for me to go to the resort and pick Jack up from there and bring him home with me, when I called my wife to get directions to where they were, that is when I got the news…

The rest you know, and I don’t think I can type anymore about this now.

Thank you all again.

Chris.
