New description of danger of bullet casting
« on: September 18, 2003, 01:43:06 AM »
Esteemed Board

I was talking with my brother who shoots a lot but doesn't load or cast, and he came up with another danger of bullet casting.  As he put it (Ok, ya gotta be uncritical here):  The lead dust (none present, I know) gets in your lungs and weighs you down, you go on a diet to loose the weight but keep on casting, end up weighing more because of more dust in your lungs.  In a panic you quit eating, and bullet casting causes you to starve to death!

Not bad for off the top of his head.

Now I know why I weight nearly 270 pounds. It's all the lead from years of casting bullets.

Now don't go givin the antis any ideas....you just might end up reading about them on the next piece of legislation that comes down the pike....or on the warrant in the hands of the regulators at your shed door...

For what's it worth I don't think it settles in your lungs!
My fellow employees here seem to think the dust I have inhaled settled somewhere else.
At least they refer to it having settled somewhere else when they don't think I'm listening.

I know that. I am myself a total wooden head and have an uncontrollable fear of termites, as a shrink, you probably know the medical term for that.  :-D

Howdy

I'd have to look up the Latin for termites to name that phobia, an I'm too lazy to do so.

The Shrink,
Actually those two things have served me very well in my years of meetings.
When I dose off I still remain upright in my seat and most folks don't even realize I've left the meeting! :-)
Kinda look like a bobble head sometimes but what the hay?
