benched the 7 MM-08 139 hornady sp 4350 powder 43.0 grains 2508 FPS
first 2 shots same hole third shot maybe 1/4" to the right:excellent
My 38-55 I seem to stop the powder charge at 33.5 IMR 3031 rifle will print outstanding groups with the williams peep sight.I did find FB bullet no gas check 255 grain BHN 12 still no barrel leading I did find the rifle seem to be snappy with this charge,I would think my FPS around the middle 1700 mark
I wouls think no deer will walk from this load out to 125 yards.

Good shooting.  The Hornady manual lists that charge at 2600fps and they go up to 46.5gr IMR 4350 with that bullet at 2800fps.  Mine likes it closer to that charge, getting quarter sized groups with it.  Haven't fired my 38-55 since right after I got it.  Still need to open the end of the chamber just a touch.  My Winchester brass is just scraping with the .380 cast and not with .379's.  Funny thing is my Marlin CB 38-55 takes the .380's no problem.  DP
