I just thought I would post a picture of what I do for fun. Here is the latest knife out of my hoby shop.
It works great in the kitchen as posted above.
Here is the sheath I made for this one above..

Nice lookin knife Nick. Send one to Rachael Ray. Once she start usin it you'll be rollin in the bucks.
Would synthetic scales be better around the home kitchen? Lower up keep.

They are indeed synthetic. They are made from Natural Canvas Micarta. Most of my knives get a Micarta handle of one color or another. I do work in exotic woods too. But they do move with the seasons.
