Remember awhile back when Knight announced the BH209 plug on the Ultimate Slam would not interchange on the Extreme and Elite models? I do really well and it was frustrating.

It's no secret that i really like Knight Rifles. After speaking with Dave, we were talking about designing a plug that would achieve 100% BH209 ignition with very little blow back if any.

Now the time has come to start planning a test plug i should say. I figured it would be nice to hear some of your opinions or idea's on what you would like to see.

I do want to mention Dave is very qualified to do this. He has made the speed breech plugs for the T/C triumph for T/C. I believe another company out bid the job and he did not get the contract. So he is very qualified to make these plugs safe and effective for our Knight muzzleloaders.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to be testing a plug sometime in June.

Grouse:  Put me on the list right now for my Elites/Extreme!   ;D   I don't care if it incorporates the red disc or bare primer... Just needs to be cleaner with respect to primer fouling and most importantly ignite BH209 in cold temps.

I have a couple designs that I know will work, one I am currently using. If you want to make a good plug that works 100%, you need to go in the other direction that Knight chose.

Is he looking to incorporate the FPJ, or the NFPJ bolt adapter? 209 primer, or LRMP? I have designs ideas for both, but nothing on paper.

If you ask me, the LRMP is the way to go. If he is interested, let me know. I could probably whip up a couple rough prints for him to ponder, if need be.

You might not want ideas posted on the open forum? There may be others looking to do the same thing now that Knight won't be working on it. There will be a market for this plug, big time. ;)

Shoot me an email with your idea's. The plug will not use the red plastic jackets.

I would be interested in the breech plug that is safe and provides reliable ignition for BH209.
