Howdy,
Recently i began looking around at getting an accurate .22 auto. and due to some personal history, i.e. learning to shoot with a Supermatic Citation of aproximately 1965-66 vintage. i decided to look into what has happened with High standard in the past few years, and see what if anything is on the market from them and at what price.
have discovered that they are no longer being put out by Mitchell (thank GOD!) and are actually based in Houston now, and therefore only an hour drive from my home.
what i would like to know is are they now back to being a decent pistol?? i very much doubt that they're back to the same level as the 60's era guns, but are they still a good target gun?
I just feel that if High standard is back to being a decent target pistol again, that it might just worth $100-150 more than the Ruger to get not only a copy of the gun i learned on but a gun Different from what the rest of teh guys at my range have
any and all input you guys can give on the "houston High Stnadards" is welcome and appreciated. thank you
