Dee; I did not vote McCain as a chosen candidate..but as a defensive measure to prevent the Obama massacre of our Constitution. If Ron Paul stood any chance of keeping the foreign pretender out of the oval office, I would have voted for Ron Paul.
My vote was in essence, a failed attempt to protect the Constitution.  Only God knows where we go from here...

ironglow, your voting habits along witht he MAJORITY of voters is precisely why we are where we are. IT IS YOUR "MINDSET", that causes you to be incapable of voting outside the "BOX" that the two parties have PUT YOU IN.
Of course folks like Paul don't have a chance. YOU GUYS CONTINUALLY VOTE OUT OF "FEAR". Same-ole-Same-ole.
As I said before many times. IF YOU ALWAYS DO, WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS DONE, YOU ALWAYS GET, WHAT YOU ALWAYS GOT.
TRANSLATION: IF YOU "ALWAYS VOTE", THE WAY YOU'VE  "ALWAYS VOTED", YOU ALWAYS "GET" WHAT YOU ALWAYS "GOT"
.

i  always voted  libertaian.....till  recently
i  always have been  irrelevent

Yea, your REAL REVELENT NOW. ::) The Republicans are all ears when you and the rest of the people speak.  ::)

And possibly Ron Paul hears you..but what does that prove ?  It appears that without a huge turnover in congress next election, there will be a need for 1776 all over again.

Ron Paul heard everyone, it was just that no one was listening to him. There will be no huge "turnover in Congress" OR, the Senate. Everyone will continue to say: I'd vote for him, but he hasn't got a chance, SO! I'll just continue to vote the lessor of two evils, wring my hands, and wonder why thing just don't change like their supposed to.
By the time most people FINALLY FIGURE OUT, that voting for a Republican IS NOT HELPING THE SITUATION, it will be too late. Most are asleep, apathetic, locked into the Republican ticket (and can't mentally escape), oblivious to what is happening, fat, dumb, and lazy, UNARMED, and ill prepared. They will "march into Fascism while steadfastly defending the practice" of VOTING THE LESSOR OF TWO EVILS.
There are threads on this forum with these folks ALREADY PICKING, a "lessor of two evils candidate" for the  next election Republican party, and most are choosing the same ole "also ran candidates like Romney, that the American people have already rejected once.
Some people are utterly amazing at how gullible they are. McCain is but one example. The first time McCain ran, he ran anti 2nd Amendment, and got whipped. The last time he toned the 2nd Amendment rhetoric down, reworded his speachs and came out on top in the primary, with LIBERAL oozing out of every poor, and people tried to pass him off as a conservative. The people once again REJECTED HIM.

How ironic that Iranians are laying their life on the line at this very moment for freedom by rioting and dying in the streets against an ARMED government, while they themselves, are UNARMED, and we, whom are ALREADY FREE, and armed, and the best we can do is muster enough courage to vote "the lessor of two evils", while seeing our government TAKE OVER, and SWEAR IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO VOTE, when it is so obvious to some IT AIN'T WORKIN. No, there will be no repeat of 1776. Rifles in the streets? Hell Americans won't even take a chance in the voting booth, much less pick up a rifle. By the time this "lessor of two evils" crowd figures it out, their belt buckles will be rubbing their backbones, and they will be too weak and hungry to fight. They have ALREADY ACCEPTED government corruption, by their voting habits signification.JMO of course.

Again; Alexander Tyler explained it all a couple hundred years ago.
