played hooky from work today ;)took the 357 to the range with a limited asst of loads. The only bullets i have are 158 RNL and i wanted a good target load so i loaded 5 each with 231@4.5 grs,5.0 grs,and 5.5 grs. I previously tried the max load for that combo@6.5 grs and was not impressed. The 4.5 gr load was not spectacular,the 5.0 gr load was three touching configured in a perfect triangle that a DIME will cover, and the 5.5 gr load opened
up to an inch again forming a perfect triangle....so two out of three loads shot an inch or less with a 158 gr lead bullet.Data says these loads go 1100-1200 fps in a revolver, i'm using a 22" barrel so i'd gain some velocity,not sure how much.And it shoots like a 22....anybody could shoot this thing comfortably all day long...when the boss comes home i'll ask permission to use the digital camera and post pics of those groups......
