New Mexico Cow Elk

Looks like I have been drawn for a Dec. Cow Elk hunt in West Central NM. This is a MZ hunt. I have to get a load for my Optima Elite & I need to get a Begara Barrel for my Encore, as the fact barrel was no good at all.

Also, I got drawn for an Oct Antelope/Mule Deer hunt in WY in Oct, rifle hunt. I got to get busy!!!

no, hey, I just checked the Wy. game and fish site and could no info on the antelope and deer draw, how did you check this out :-[???? Congradulations. :D ;) :)

Congrats on the Wyo Drawing. My last hunt was 2003
.
For the first time, I tried a hot-rodded 125gr Sierra in my 30-06 for Antelope. A head shot on a doe disintegrated the skull. Mostly used my 41mag when I lived there.

Wyo is still home to me, though North Idaho claims our address now.

WCH - it might be the non-resident status that he found out on. Your resident draws are later, you know.

They cashed my check, they have never done that with the permit coming later, however these are new times ;)

 ;) Thanks, I just wondered, they said the draw will be earlier now because of so many entering on line. The draw is to be the 24th of June for what I hear. I tried my pals nonres. lic. also and there was no response. They are changing their methods.\
Sweetwater, from what I understood, they were going to make the draws all at once, but I could have easily misunderstood. I seldom missed on the permits I want except for moose, sheep etc. Now, I have an elk License I really like to draw it is private land, cow only, but the season opens sept.1. I have been gettting it half the time, so this should be my year. The season lasts until Jan. I think, but I like getting one early so I can duck hunt, birdhunt and hunt coyotes. :D ;D Shot a few antelope with my pistols, mostly a .44 Bisley Ruger, but have only used a rifle the last 10 years. I now have a couple .44 Smiths so I may give them a try this season. :-\ ;)
