I really make no attempt to count how many. I doubt I shot more than 150 rounds if that many but again I didn't count those either. I just go to have fun, eat lots of pork and visit with the members.

I took Faye with me this year with plans to visit KS, CO, NM, TX and then back into OK for more sight seeing before returning home but our youngest who lives with us was sick when we last spoke with Matt. Faye called home to talk with him and was convinced we needed to get back ASAP to get him to the doctor.

We left here on June 1 and returned June 9. I put 2751 miles on my new Toyota Sequoia which had barely 4200 on it when I left. My computer was still down when I got back and I think it was maybe the 11th before Matt got it sorted out for me.

So Bill, if you shot around 150 rounds you killed, what, 185 or so?  I know that there had to be some twofers in there, lol.

Yup there were a few twofers but then there were some misses also.

I don't bother counting rounds or hits on these trips. I'm sure I shoot fewer rounds and fewer PDs than the rest of the folks as I quit by around 10:00 each day to head back to the motel for a nap and then go over to Dan's for the socializing the rest of the afternoon/evening and don't go back out like most do.

For me it's about far more than just the shooting. Each day we drove around quite a bit just looking for critters and enjoying the drive.

I wish the PD/dove hunt that i went on went like that.  We left the hotel at 5:00 a.m. and didn't get back in until 9 p.m. most nights.  I was soooo sick of bottled water and sandwiches and way too wore out so when we got home I took an extra day off work and slept for a full day and then drove to town and purchased a steak about an inch thick to grille lol...

If I get a chance to go again I think I'll make it a point to ease back to the hotel around lunchtime to eat indoors and take a nice long nap :D  GB has the right idea here lads :)

I am on vacation this week.  It is All Star time for Evan's team.  I am getting a break from the other two every night this week as we play about a couple of hours  away.  The little ones should be fed, bathed, and in the bed by the time Evan and I get home.  I can't think of a better vacation than watching my eldest son play my favorite sport.  I am looking forward to my leisurely evenings of playing ball as a sharp contrast to cooking, cleaning, and taking care of kids.  Oh Matt don't worry I am putting in a roast before I leave. :)  Matt is REALLY getting a break.  While Evan and I are off playing, the babies will be with my nanny.  Matt will have the house to himself!
