Which Limb-Saver...??
« on: June 16, 2009, 03:39:46 AM »
I have a friend who has a tang-safety M77  ( originally .30-06 ), that has been re-bored/re-chambered to .336-06 Ackley. Recoil is bothersome, so I'd like to surprise him with a Limb-Saver. Only problem is, I'm not sure which one I need.
The rifle was originally a compact or lightweight version, blue/walnut, NOT the full-stock variation.
Any idea's?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like the #10001 is the only prefit pad for the wood M77.  ;)

Thanks Tim, I'll go with that one.
It's a neat little rifle he has; not much weight, but pretty punch ( at both ends, apparently ).

i doubt if any pad is going to fit perfectly. best bet is probably to buy one and fit it right.

Thanks, I think that is the route I'll take, and he can have it ground-top-fit.

If you're gonna do a grind to fit, I'd recommend a Packmayr Decelarator, a nicer looking pad than a Limbsaver.  ;)
