I have a set of scope mounts for a Win 70A.
What is the difference between a 70 and a 70A ?

IIRC, the 70A econogun had a blind magazine ILO a hinged floorplate, lesser-finish on metal parts before bluing, and maybe plainer wood/impressed checkering - but I'm a little foggy, since I haven't seen one in over 25 years.

I think mines a 70A, I got it when I turned 14 for deer hunting in MI. I clean it once in a while & even though it is as good as ever I usually take my Browning. Maybe some day I will sell the other guns & go back to using it. Mine is of mid 70's vintage, 308.
