Ruger 10/22 Magnum?
« on: September 21, 2003, 12:33:02 PM »
Its a tackdriver semiauto 22 mag. ,but Im not sure if I ever shot 2 complete clips without a extraction hangup ,after 3 or  4 different brands of ammo.

Anyone else had this problem or did I get a dud?

My Ruger 10/22 mag does the same thing and has done so for 3 years now.  Sometimes the shells eject perfectly and others hang up.  I'm just waiting for that one day when it doesn't fully eject one, another tries to load, and catches the rim.  I hate to get rid of the gun though because it was my son's first gun and it shoots great.  I am the only one who shoots it now.  Two things that did help was changing to a different ammo.  I now shoot CCI 22 mag.  I get less problems and clean it often.

Good luck

My 10/22 mag. worked flawlessly for the 6 years that I had it.  Traded it in on a 77/22 mag. because I wanted to slow the rate of fired.  With the 77/22 mag. a box of shells lasts longer.  Lawdog

mine had similar problems for the first 300-400 rounds. Now I only have it happen once in about 1000 rounds (uncleaned) then I clean and keep going. That is teh only gun that I don't FULLY clean after each time I shoot it. I usually only clean when I go through close to 1000 rounds
