« on: June 16, 2009, 04:57:51 PM »
I have an 1100 that has a loose grip cap.How do I go about tightening this up.It feels like it is pegged or screwed under there, not glued.I will have to do something before I lose it or snag it on something. Thanks Steve

I'm unsure how yours is attached but most were screwed down with the screw hidden under the white diamond. There is a peg(pin) to stop rotation... getting the plastic diamond out will of course be the chore.  Prying will likely leave a mark but done carefully with a thin blade and a little(heatgun??) heat may work.. Parts such as this should be available,, check with Brownells as they sell many Remington parts..

I wouldn't worry about marring it, I'd go ahead and take it out then replace with a new one from Remington or possibly Numeric Gun Parts? What could they cost, $2-$5?

Thanks Guys, you're right about the screw under there and I found a place locally that actually has some odds and ends for the 1100's. ;)
