Gas prices and a one track mind

I remember when it got to 2.23, 2.43, 2.57, 2.64, 2.70, 2.80, 3.00, 3.03, 3.08, 3.25, 3.57, 3.75, 4.04, and 4.29. I don't recall the other prices it got to last year. Wonder why I remember these prices.

I use calibers and bore diameters to remember things also. The T/C Custom shop telephone was 243-4570.  I am not looking forward to 5.00, 5.77 and other African cartridges.  I was satisfied with my 1.77 pellet rifle. :)

I am sure that higher fuel prices will be used as a lever to "sell" the Government Motors 39 mpg roller skate/cars.  Not a good thing when it politically behooves the Chairman/Commissar/Politburo to raise prices to create their desired "change".  I retired last year and in January '08 bought a new Silverado 2500 HD to pull my travel trailer. Bad timing, huh? :(

I believe I heard something mentioned on the TV this morning about a proposal to give people $600 to put towards a small car.  Wouldn't the fuel savings be incentive enough???  Why should I share in the expense of purchasing someone else's small car?

Sad thing is that even if the fuel prices hit 30.06 and $27 of it was used to retire the debt that the current regime is creating, we couldn't put a dent in it.

I did the right thing years ago and bought small cars.  I didn't get anything from the goverment.  Why do those who always do the wrong thing get help?
