Barrel Swapping Fourm
« on: December 18, 2002, 07:02:44 PM »
Ok fellas heres the deal, I spoke with Greybeard about this and he had no objections,  I have been thinking of a fourm for trading T/C barrels.  I know that I cant be the only one that gets bored with one after a little while.  I like to tinker around with new stuff and I thought this would be a place to do it.  What it would be is for trading barrels only. No selling them or other stuff.  I hope to get some response from this.  hopefully it will work out.

I'm all for it Caleath.  A barrel trading forum would be great.  I would be on that forum every day, just like I read this forum every day.  To get enough readers you may have to include a few other things such as scopes, bases and rings and so on.  I hope it is a go.

I agree with Oldman that it should also include scopes, bases and rings.

Yeah I dont see why we couldnt  include scopes.  I was just trying to make it different enough from the regular classified fourm. I didnt want to see a bunch of other stuff listed there.  If we stick to the subject of at least Contender stuff it should be ok.
In addition to using a trading forum, I think we need to start using the seller/swap area to let people know that we are all upstanding with our deals.

I was thinking more like the stuff thats attached to the barrel, like handguards, scopes, rings, bases, sights and etc. that would be included as parts of a package deal, or others may want and then break it out individually.  Just thinking?

Thomas,
If that stuff is attached I have no problem with it. I just didnt want to see people putting just grips or stuff like that alone.  The intention for this will be to get barrels traded I thought it would be fun and different to do.

The Forum is in place. Physically it is located immediately below this forum on the Forums Index.

Yes Tom I have no problem with the things that are specific to the barrel as you mentioned. I do not want this to become a substitute for the Classifieds and so it will be strictly limted to TRADES ONLY. Any mention of buying or selling will get the post deleted immediately. That's what the Classifieds is for. In ALL CASES one end of the transaction MUST be barrels or related barrel items mentioned above. Scopes even handgun scopes are NOT technically a part of the barrel and so they will not be traded on this forum for other than barrels or barrel parts. In other words no scope for scope swamps listed and no scopes for items other than barrels or other barrel related items. OK to trade scoped barrel for scopes and such but make sure one end of deal is barrel and barrel related.
