Has Remington dropped the spr-18?
« on: June 19, 2009, 01:27:00 PM »
I can't find any among my usual wholesale suppliers, I don't mean they're out of stock, I mean they just aren't listed at all. Remington's website is a great wealth of non-information. Does anyone know? Heard any rumors? I don't mean to start one but would really like to find out.

Looks like something is up with Remington.

But USSG (some how linked to EAA) has them here is the catalog http://www.ussginc.com/pdfs/catalogpg4.pdf

Well I always thought more of EAA than Remington anyway. It seems Remington will still carry the Baikal shotguns.

Forgot I had one, shot it today, 2 shot 1/2" groups with my 308 handloads. May use it as my walk around deer rifle this fall, light and very "handy".............

That link didn't show the prices.  I've never owned one of these, but I have owned their shotguns.  I still have a 12 and a 16 side by side, and have used the 12 for trapshooting at my club pretty nearly every week for about 5 years or so now.  Very dependable guns.  Those single shot rifles look pretty handy.  Think about what a nice walking-around rifle one of these in something like 32-20 would be.

Remington is no longer importing the SPR18, but they still advertise them so dealers can move those they still have in stock.
