Ah ha! At least I know that I am not the only one who has done that! (to a Ruger no less!) First you cocked it, then let the hammer down far enough that the pawl to turn the cylinder dropped to the next rachet on the cylinder. But you did not drop the hammer all the way so the bolt would unlock to allow the cylinder to turn when you drew the hammer back again. Then when you pulled it back on halfcock, you were all locked up with the bolt still up, the paul jammed into the cylinder, and the hammer back up to halfcock. The only way to release it is to remove the cylinder. You should be able to get enough 'wiggle' to roll it our of there even with the hand and bolt up. It will just be hard to pull the cylinder pin because of the pressure. Once out, everything will return to normal again. This WILL work. If you cannot pull the pin (worst case), then you will have to remove the grip frame and trigger guard and pull the bolt down manually. Next time you are playing with it just make sure the hammer is all the way down before you draw it back again. No Biggie. 44 Man
