old fashioned hardwar for a Handi
« on: June 20, 2009, 08:21:29 AM »
I just got a Handi Rifle in 45-70. I would like to make it look more old-style by adding things like a brass trigger guard, butt plate, and maybe a cap on the fore end. And I don't want to spend a fortune doing it. Anybody done this or have ideas? :)

Welcome aboard! I wish I could help you but I am new to the Handi game. Some of the other guys will be able to help you better. I like the idea you have. When you get done you will have to post some pics.

Welcome Jack!! Be patient, Talley is working on trigger guards and spacers, I saw you looking at the Moyer's thread, be sure to read up on them before you jump on that wagon.  ;)

I'm thinking that if a body was patient and looked really hard they might find an old Huntsman muzzleloader with a brass trigger guard to swap out to make one really nice looking piece.
