2010 census questions

I don't think I'd want to answer some of these questions, like what time you go to work. Keep in mind that census data is what was used to round up the Japanese Americans for imprisonment in concentration camps here in the US during WWII and until 1947.

Spokeswoman Shelly Lowe told the Washington Times that anyone over the age of 18 must fill out all the questions and any such person who refuses to answer “any of the questions” faces a $5,000 fine.

The Post Office has a history of losing mail and packages for me. I'm pretty sure they are going to lose this.

They had been doing it already, my wife and I were working in the yard when a white car was driving around our development, and stopping right in from of each house, and then he was entering something in his computer... My wife went over to him and ask what he was doing, he said he was from the Census Bureau and had a sticker on his back window saying that.. She told him he was probably an Acorn person and he just laughed and went to the next house..

I know my wife and I are on some kind of watch list, being organizers for the 9-12 Delaware Patriots. I am sure they have us slated as right wing extremists.

Just tell them to use the data collected from the last censes.
Nothing has changed except it is X# of years later and you don't make as much money as you used to.
They already have the info from before unless there has been a child born or someone has died.

For the first time ever this census will be conducted by a cabinet (read political) position. The Republicans say the Dems want to fudge the numbers. It could be something more sinister.

Yes I've heard of jerrymandering. And Yes obamas left wing cronys WILL fudge the numbers. I suspect since he truly dispises people with weatlh, questions about your assets will take precidence
My understanding is, something like a third of the countrys people fill out ONLY the headcount questions and leave the rest blank.  The fine for refusing to answer is $100.  The fine for deliberately lying is $500  Both are rarely enforced.

They called me after the last one. Seems I didn't answer all the questions on the form. Nice lady on the other end wanted to know the if I would answer them. I told her it was none of their business, and she said ok, and I hung up. Probably happen again. gypsyman
