Ride and PAR-TAY this weekend
« on: June 26, 2009, 04:49:03 PM »
Leaving out for SC early in the morning!   ;D  Nice ride, even on a slab, but the best part will be partying with my bros!   :P

Got to come back early Sunday though.  Got to get to a gunshow since my FFL will be there with a rifle I had shipped to him.  And maybe somebody will have primers!

Have fun and ride safe. Hope you have better luck with primers than I did today. Still no SPM and LRM primers locally. Didn't matter, they didn't have the H110 either to use with them. Did get a coupla hundred 240 grain XTP mags for the X-Frame tho.

Nice ride, good party; won a .999 silver coin struck in the size and form of a gold double eagle.  ;D

One thing though.  On the way there one of my brothers and I were putting along @ 80 on the slab, side by side, when a coyote shot out from the median tall grass right there in front of us!   :o  Let me tell you, that K-9 was hauling bootie!  I have never seen one moving that fast.  Good thing he was though because I didn't have time to react before we were well past him!  He was so close I could could count the fleas on his back!   :P  That'll wake you up in a hurry!   :D

No...  :-[  Didn't make it to the gunshow.  A number of things conspired against me!   :(  Well, actually it was more like a goodly number of one thing (beer) that did the conspire-in.   ::)

To bad, I really need LR & LP primers and I wanted to pick up my new-to-me 38/55 Target Classic...  ;)

I spent the weekend at Sparks America bike rally and it was fun to party with some of the crew. Had a A/C RV to crash in at night. Had Frank Cosmo of Boston, Pat Travers and Dr. Hook for some of the bands and they were good. $1 beer and reasonable food vendors. All the free bottled water you wanted also.  Up until 3:30 then to bed, up at 6:30 for coffee and a breakfast run somewhere.  .38-55 is a sweet round. I could have bought a Marlin lever gun and reloading set up for $500. I passed on it and wished I hadn't.

Boom-Boom, out go the lights! Thanx for the reminder, or was that the wake- up? What day is it? I'm tired, wake me up when you make sense!

This was the scene at 2:30 am Saturday morning, not as good of a picture as I would have liked but you can get an idea. I heard that there were 25,000 there but I don't think there were that many. Speaking of costumes here is a picture of my old bud Wishbone who truly does not give a crap.

That looks like a lot of fun!  Normally I don't got to that many of those type gatherings.  To many people and most of them are out to get me!    :-[  You've probably seen the type, get a little tight and start trying to show how bad they are...

'course there are also usually a lot of sweet young things that rapidly shed their cloths...  :P  Gotta take the good with the bad I 'spose...  ;D

This evening we're making a run to a "Bike Night" at some place.  We'll go in a pack and watch each others back, stay together and have a good time.   ;)

Definitely a lot skin at this one and actually some that make it look good. I don't have any problems and run with a crew that have your back so we usually go where we please. Bike nights are fun in the evenings when the sun goes down. I went to the Crosseyed Moose in OKC last night with my brother and met up with a few friends. Fun and saw loads of bikes of all shapes. Everyone have a safe  4th of July. If we get loose today I may ride to see the Moving Wall Vietnam war memorial in Piedmont Oklahoma. If you ever get a chance guys it's worth a ride to see and experience.
