Pardner 20 ga.
« on: June 27, 2009, 02:45:10 AM »
Mentioned several weeks ago I had seen an excellent pardner in a pawn shop for $99.  The gun looked like new and had the new CAC prefix.  Gave $99 out the door.  All his other used singles were also $99 and not as good.  Well I recvd a gift card for Gander and got the idea to call and see if they could get a 28ga.  It will be here in 2 weeks on store transfer.  Hmmm, I wonder if they have any 16 ga, out there.

If you want and can find a 16ga I'd buy it because I'm pretty sure they have discontinued them.

Gander got the 28 ga. transfered in and it was a youth gun, not what I wanted .  They have $109 on the gun and it is a 2005.  Otherwise in great condition.

If you really wanted the 28ga, you shoulda bought it, swap the stock out, the full length stock will fit it too, stocks are available in the classifieds here regularly and from H&R or Brownells, someone may even trade with ya.  ;)

A slip on pad brings the youth stock to within an inch of an adult stock

You should buy the 28. the barrel may lock up fine on the 20 ga frame, so you would be able to use it while your waiting for a swap on the youth stock.

you could follow the FAQ's guide and fit the 28gauge barrel to your 20gauge frame as well.
there are several options, really.
bottom line is, get the 28. you just cant have to many handi's or handi parts/components  ;D
