Bet you thought it was a recoil pad fitting thread! This is the first Gring To Fit Handi front sight. It is now .835 tall, probably taller than there will ever be a use for, but it is easier to make them shorter than taller. Mill off the front blade, cut a slot in the body with a 1/16 inch end mill. Then silver solder in a tall sight blade. Mill off the sides to make it perfectly straight up and down, throw it in the parkerizing tank and you are done. The parkerizing does not stick to the silver, but I guess a Sharpie will take care of that. We will see how it fits on
