H&R .22 cal/410 Over and Under????
« on: June 29, 2009, 05:29:30 PM »
Is there such a thing? And if so, What is the Model #? Pics would be a bonus.

I tried the search, with no luck. I googled it with no luck. But I am told it does exist. I am beginning to think it may be another brand?

Thanks.

Savage had one, a Model 24 IIRC. I have no knowledge or recollection of H&R ever making one. There was an over and under made years ago called the Marbles Game Getter. IIRC it was produced with both 12" and 16" barrels and one configuration was a .22 RF over a .44/40 or .44 Russian....<><....:)

a link to some info about them:

Thanks MSP Ret.

I am aware of the Savage 24, and the Russian one. He insists it was a H&R, I have never heard of one either. Hopefully someone will know for sure.

Marlin made the model 90 over/under until about 1959.  It was available (on special order) in .22 Hornet or .218 Bee over .410.  But not rimfire. I remember passing on a rare .218/410 version in the late 70's for under $300.  "Stupid is as stupid does" - Forrest Gump

I have been collecting and researching H&R firearms for the past 15+ years.  I currently own over 400 examples and have owned another 200+ and have seen several thousand others - I have never seen nor heard of an H&R over under chambered in .22/.410.  H&R did offer a Brazilian made (Rossi IIRC) .410 over/under shotgun back in the 70's.

Thank you 32 Magnum! I have never heard of one either, and I figured I have not been told the truth from the start. :-\

He may also be talking about the Ithaca M6 Aircrew Survival rifle.
