Hi,I'm new to the forum.I want to get a trigger job for my 209-50 encore.I'd like to take it down to 3.5 lbs. Has anyone gotten any work done by SSK Industries or Bellm? I eventually want to get more barrels for the gun, maybe 30-06 and 223.I will mainly be using it for hunting.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are at all mechanically inclined you can install the sear spring
yourself. The spring alone greatly improves trigger pull. Order the spring and download the installation instructions from Bellm's website.

do the Bellm spring yourself , I did it in 15 minutes and had never had a encore apart before . My encore now has a sweet 1 3/4 pound trigger .

I only have two words to say about an Encore Trigger Job.....MIKE BELLM.
You can get the springs from him and do the job yourself.

Be SURE to get his free download even if you aren't going to do a trigger job yourself.  It's a great reference for Encore owners.  The springs won't cure grit, takeup, or overtravel, but they sure will get you a lighter trigger pull.  If your trigger's only problem is weight of pull, the replacement spring is likely all you need (several choices of spring tension from Bellm).
