The republican In Min. Just conceded after the state supreme court ruled against him. So Obama’s cap and trade is as good as law!

This is no surprise to us Minnesotans, (or is it Minnesotites, or Minnesotecutians, etc.) I fully expected it.

I really believe that it should have been challenged to the supreme court because the recount methodology that has just been accepted now becomes a precedent for other close elections where the rules for re-counting change capriciously from county to county.

Having a total doofus in the US senate is a Minnesota tradition. I do not underestimate Frankin's doofosity. I heard him on Air America and he was totally incompetent and his incompetence was contagious. He ruined one of the best radio personalities in Minnesota by luring her onto Air America, where she did very, very poorly. Katherine Lanpher is her name, I'd like to know where she's broadcasting from now. She does good radio. I also remember that Frankin is frequently characterized as a comedian. He's not funny at all. He also does not know any issues, and speaks like he's reciting what somebody else told him to say (which is probably the case.)

But I digress. There is no way that Frankin can be more of a doofus than Mark Dayton was. Man, that guy was a living legend in the world of incompetent politicians. Frankin may match him, but he'll never be able to beat Dayton. Dayton was the leading edge of incompetence, and remains the standard bearer for the world.

I should also interject that Jesse Ventura was a pretty decent governor. Some of his ideas were a bit naive, but all things considered, I consider him to have been competent in the office.

I think Jesse started strong, looking like a good third party candidate but finished pretty nutty. Gotta give it to you on the Senate tradition thing.
By the way, who voted for him, what part of the state? I can't see people up on the iron range going his way? I do realize you have some hard-core liberals who would vote for Babe the Blue Ox if he was on the their side of the ballot.
Love your beautiful state, but a lot of regs you guys have to deal with.

I live just north of minneapolis and had at least six dumcrat door-knockers before the election trying to sell franken. The only two counties that franken won were hennepin and ramsey county (minneapolis and st. paul). Imagine that! Ill bet they were the only counties that "o" won too.

Actually coleman won the election the first time, there is an automatic recount if it is close, that is how coleman lost, franken had the better lawyers and won in court. Here are the numbers from election night, they show coleman winning.

I dont think there is anything coincidental about it. I have yet to see a recount that didnt involve a Democrat picking up a disproportional number of votes. And like the Washington Govenors race, isnt it odd how they keep finding boxes of uncounted Ballots that were "missed" each time they do a recount?

I have so little faith in America as a country these days I am almost ashamed!

Didn't it amaze you how they kept finding boxes of ballots in someones trunk that "inadvertently" got overlooked the first time. One thing for sure, they have no respect for rule of law and I assure you they wont go quietly if they happen to lose power. Frankly I don't think an election will get them out !

Kinda begs the question of why have an election anymore these days. They really dont matter. You got Mickey Mouse registered to vote, illegal aliens are demanding the right to vote, dead people are voting, what kinda crap is that? I don't think an election will get them out neither. It will take a revolution I'm afraid to say. I think Kennedy and others can vote anyway with a proxy vote,but a filibuster can be stopped if one or two dummycrats vote against the bill even if there is 63 dems in the senate. I think this is true but not sure.

Now I didn't vote for Franklin and I didn't vote for Colman either, good to be rid of the carpetbagger by the way. Either way I think were screwed! The Repukes were screwing us one way and now the Dumycrats are gonna screw us the other way, and that top 1 or 2 percent they'er still gonna laugh all the way to the bank!

This why I ALWAYS vote for our guns, meaning that the canidate that supports our right with guns to is the best choice and the rest will shake out in the wash and in the end I hope that we still have our guns so we can protect ourselves...

It doesn't matter who votes or how many votes are cast, it only matters who counts the votes. If voting really worked, "the powers that be" would make it illegal.
