primos makes some good ones i have a few of the randy anderson series. verminators are also really good i really like the tweety and knight and hale also has some good ones most of these calls are around 10 bucks. try some closed reeds there really easy (my one year old can use them sounds preety good to) but open reeds are a more verstile and the tweety is also really easy to use. buy a couple dvds (i like randy anderson) and practice while your watching them you can also practice in your car just make sure your the only one in it.

Good advice for the beginner. You can also listen to Mp3's online while practicing your sounds. Do not use the air from your mouth to power up the call but use your diaphram instead as your main air sorce.
This will let you get more quaver in the note and let you hit those raspy low's as well as the cleaner high's.

I use an electronic caller. there are plenty of free calls online.
Also after determination and lots of practice I now can turn it on and off with the remote control. ;D

If u want to use an E caller i would go with the power dog because its simple to use for the begginer and for the mouth calls i would recommend the Sceery calls
