A friend of mine just got a Glock 22 and the previous owner "polished" away all the black coating to the slide and now it is in the white. I guess he used Nu-Finish on it. It's nice and shiney, almost looks like stainless, which I don't think it is. Wouldn't this make the slide prone to rusting a lot easier that with the black oxide or whatever coating. My friend said the guy told him it would make no difference because the Tennifer finish was impregnated in the slide and the black coating was just for decoration.
Anyone have any information/comments on this?
Thanks,
Steve
