My "near finished" Parrot Field Rifle Pictures...
« on: July 06, 2009, 05:39:20 AM »
Still a small bit of touching up to do and some small pieces of hardware to make and attach.  I'm going to wait until my hands aren't so sore before doing anything else.  This was my first woodworking project ever.  Cannon building is hard work...

It was raining outside this morning, so I couldn't put the cannon on the grass to take the pictures I wanted.  It's about 1/2 scale.  I scaled everything around the dimensions of the barrel that I had, and it is rifled.  Double D supplied a copy of the plans, which I "upsized" from 1/4 scale (THANK YOU!!!).  Victor3 is making the bullet mold for it (THANK YOU!!!).  I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped me with advice and ideas.

What do ya'll think of the end result?
