12 gauge 00 buck loads?
« on: July 06, 2009, 09:36:34 AM »
Hi, after letting my Mec 600jr set for over 10 years I decided to clean it up and do some loading. I have reloaded shotshells before but it has been quite a while and I haven't ever used this one.
This is the old style Mec with the solid bars. It is marked 12ga. 1.
I want to load up some 00 buck loads that are not overly heavy. About the same as Federal factory loads.
I will be shooting them out of a 97 Win, and don't want to damage it.
I have AA cases, short brass.
Not sure about the wads
I want to load 9 buck to a shell.
I was going to use Red Dot but the charge bar throws 22 grains and I think that's a bit heavy.
Any and all ideas and loads will be welcomed.
Thanks all

I would / did get a reloading manual for shotgun loads . Mine has buck shot loads listed .
Also you might want to check out a site - Ballistic products they would have all the info you could ever want with regard to shotgun shell reloading .
Good luck
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
