NO, Keith, I did not. This is what I said:  "but the rate of returns at the present could be the reason the factory is running behind."

I said "could be." I did not say "was." Please get your facts straight. It would be appreciated.

Talk about making a statement without having any facts to support it! This one is based upon pure speculation and nothing more. There could be a plethora of reasons for your label of "running behind". You have absolutely no idea why the situation is the way it is.

Your statement is simply an opportunity to make a negative one about a quality American Company.

This is my statement in its entirety. Does the smiley/winking icon not indicate the hint of injected sarcasm???

"Yes, you can get some terrific shooters from there as well as with standard factory offerings, but the rate of returns at the present could be the reason the factory is running behind. ;)"

Read and comprehend it as your heart desires, but that sentence did not contain anything more negative than comments you or Keith L have ventured regarding other companies.

After all, remember this:
"NGH....First, if you think that 'ol Shilen is doing this for his "reputation", your in lal la land. It's called Money. And please notice that I spelled that with a capital "M". There is no....please let me repeat that...NO other reason that he associated his name with this. If you think he did this out of the goodness of his heart, keep dreaming.  Second, as far as Honda's are concerned, IMO they still are made out of beer cans."

Hmmm...what is that sound? Maybe it's the voice of the pot calling the kettle black? Right, Dave?

Shilen's "association" with Burgers (did I spell that right  ;D) is done for what reason? Please deduce for us the logical answer?

Hondas are beer cans. Always have been nothing but blood sucking beer cans. Slowly leaching the life blood of the American economy out of our country.....while telling the same Americans who buy the beer cans that the cars are great for them.

Perhaps the good thing is they woke up the US car makers. But at the cost of middle income Americans. But, who else would pay for it?

Hows your Honda? Smell like beer? Not to those who are use to that smell.

I stand by my statements. Not "speculation". Not like your "throw mud at the wall and see if it sticks" stuff.

Dave

Edit: BTW....my T\C .223 will out shoot any burger you got in your junk pile. So will my 7-30. Or my .243 ProHunter. And they all look nicer, and none had to be "filed" to fit the frame, and none had to be sent back to be fixed. And Ed didn't make a dime off of 'em.

Oh boy, the topic had degenerated to the schoolyard bully and his "mine is better than yours" routine.

How pathetic.

But if you want to continue, let's go for it. Here is a post you made regarding your 243 Pro Hunter barrel:

"Here is a picture of my pro hunter 243 shooting a 70 grain Nosler balistic tip. This was a six shoot group at 100 yards. Leupold rifleman 3-9X scope"

While that is a good group, Dave, that is certainly not the type of accuracy I would use to challenge others with.

I am not a paper-puncher or bench shooter; if I were, my groups would undoubtedly be better. (I prefer hunting.) But if you want to continue, here's what you are up against when you challenge my "junk" MGM, Bullberry, Bergara or even factory TC barrels. I guess you could say they "work" for me...

10 or 12 shots while fireforming brass/100 yards:

This is how my barrels generally get used:

But maybe I can learn to shoot paper, too...

Bobby - anyone who keeps up with TCs and your hunting pretty much know you can shoot. Paper or no paper.

Enough of the wrangling.  I will take the blame for starting it by asking a question.  I know that always seems to get this off and running and I shouldn't have done it.  It stops now, and further off topic posts will get this thread locked.

Any time, Dave (TC Dave 1, that is!). But bring some rain with you. We are in the worst drought on record, and the hogs have sought their indulgence elsewhere. But as soon as it starts to rain again, they'll be back -- in full force, I am sure.

Aside from the drought, we are about to set another dubious record for number of days 100 degrees or hotter. Today is number 34. The all-time record is 36, so that old record is about to be out the window by the weekend (we actually have 2 days this week forecast to "only" be 99 and 97, respectively).
